What is proposed?
The scheme proposes:
- Up to 450 new homes
- New family homes for local people and new residents that will help support the shops, schools and health services in the settlement
- Delivery of new affordable housing of different sizes and tenures to meet local needs
- New wildlife habitats
- A Country Park centred around Grove Hill and the Lone Tree
- Well-considered street tree planting to establish a well-treed setting and provide enhanced visual amenity and biodiversity benefits.
There are also potential opportunities for:
- A new sports pavilion
- New car park for the playing fields with access through the new housing rather than down Main Road
- Funds for a pre-school nursery
- Play opportunities for children
- New parking for the village hall
- Additional parking for St Peter’s Church
The master plan is currently being drawn up. There is the opportunity for ideas from local people to be included in the plan.

What else will be considered when creating the masterplan?
Detailed environmental, technical and engineering studies will be undertaken at the site. The technical reports will be submitted as part of the planning application.
